55yrs Old Islamic cleric, Mallam Habibu Abdulhamid Sokoto, his 35yrs old wife Malama Aisha Muhammed and their 11yrs old son Halifa were tormented to death by inferno days back.
Fire, caused by forgotten water heater razed their house, Saturday night. When all the water in the bucket evaporated, it became red hot and fire ensued.
It spread to their 3bedroom and in a last minute fight-for-life-attempt, they made for bathroom adjoining the bedroom all to no avail.
Cry for help could not rescue them as they got suffocated to death clinging together.

There are fears for his life. His vehicle got involved in a terrible accident along Lokoja-Abuja road, early today Friday 28th of December. His Driver and ADC died immediately.
Eye Witnesses said only divine providence can sustain him. it will be recalled that Kaduna State lost her Governor to Helicopter crash weeks back while, Taraba State Governor is just responding to treatment after the crash of his private jet. Enugu Governor too is not in good health.
We all need to remember them in our prayers.

Fire Disaster makes OBJ richer
In sheer display of optimism in the face of trouble, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has said the fire incident in his hilltop house will proverbially add beauty to it.
He is right, money will soon start rolling in from FG, State Governors and Wealthy individuals. We all remember how they donated monies from our collective treasury to his Library project.
Congratulations OBJ for the enriching fire incident.

Truth about Excess Crude Oil and Sovereign Wealth Funds in Nigeria.
- Federal Government should not decide for States on Sovereign Wealth Fund. Communication is essential.
- Why do FG want to borrow and still pursue savings with SWF at the same time? It doesn't make economic sense.
- 7yrs ago ex-President Obasanjo paid 12billion dollars (the largest ever to move out of developing economy) within 3months for Nigeria to get out of Paris Club debt trap. Why walk into the snare again?
- Though SWF is in vogue globally. It is a product of developed economies with excess income. It's good to save but FG should think of investment that can yield.
- SWF statistic has 80% from Asia, and Gulf region, 8% from Africa and 5% from Europe. So our economy, not trend should determine our economic steps.
- Though Lawmaker initially opposed borrowing moves by FG. Within a week, state govs moved cash to Abuja and the Legislators cave in. It's sad.
- Rather than sharing monies in Abuja monthly, why can't the govs look inward. Kudos to Lagos and few states.
