RENAL FAILURE INCAPACITATES ENUGU GOV.

Kinsmen blames Nnamani for his woes

 
After several rebuttals by some kitchen members of the chief executive of Enugu state that Governor Sullivan Chime is hail and hearty, the same group has now admitted he is ill but recuperating.
 
This disclosure over the weekend of the ill health of the governor was at the heel of a strong rumour of his death few minutes after the ill-fated helicopter crash that involved Gov Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna state and Gen. Andrew Azazi (rtd).
 
The commissioner for Information, Mr Chuks Ugwuoke in a quick press statement captioned “Chime condoles Yakowa, Azazi’s families”.
 
Chime in the said release described the deaths of the two as shocking and tragic and a monumental loss to the nation.
 
The commissioner had several times insisted his boss was on accumulated leave having avoided it since he was sworn in for second term denied that Chime was undergoing medication; he had absolved governor of any wrong doing having handed over to his deputy, Sunday Onyebuchi.
 
He admitted Gov Chime has been out of the country since September 20 but quickly added that he will soon be back to the country.
 
However a kinsman and a former aide of the governor was quoted as saying that chime is presently undergoing treatment for Leukemia and renal failure in an India hospital after a futile effort to get a therapy in England.
 
The aide who prefer anonymity recounted how in 2005 when Chime the Enugu state Attorney General and commissioner for Justice under the then Gov Nnamani underwent a heart surgery in the United States of America
 
The aide who blamed Nnamani for anointing Chime as governor having known his health history
 
It will be recalled that several times rumours making round the state has it that the governor has died of kidney problem owing to his love for alcohols and cigarette smoking.
 
Residents of Enugu have fold there hands and crossed their fingers waiting for the outcome of the hospitalized governor as only time will prove rumour right or wrong.
